Over/Underweight Implement Conversion

This tool gives you a simple estimate of what you should be able to throw with your competition implement, based off of how far you throw heavy or light implements.

Note that these are estimates. Lots of other factors determine the end result. Example: If your heavy implement shows you can throw further than the light one indicates, you may need to spend more time improving your distance with the light implement.

When the average of your PRs with all training weights increase, your competition PR will be soon to follow.

Factor used
Shot: 2.5 ft/lb • Discus: 20 ft per 0.25 kg • Hammer: 10 ft/lb • Weight: 2 ft/lb. Your technique, wind, and implement quality affect results.
If your heavy implement says you’re ahead of your light, spend time improving the light. Raise the average of your PRs and the comp PR follows.
